Daring to Dream

Memorable Moments: Return to the Sea

The proud parents and their little bundle of joy. All the returning characters look so young!
Morgana: "So I get the trident, avenge poor unfortunate Ursula, gain all the powers of the ocean, and it's not even ten o'clock. Not a bad morning."

Morgana does have her moments.

Undertow: "What have you done to me?! Look at me! I'm an anchovy!"
Awwwwww...
King Triton: "Sebastian, you will watch over [Melody]."
Sebastian: "Me?"

Poor little guy. Just when he thought he was done babysitting headstrong princesses.

Melody imitates Sebastian's "complete disregard for the rules" speech.
Sebastian: "You... You're just like... your mother."

This is a point that will be repeated throughout the movie, and with just cause.

Melody: "Sometimes, I even pretend I have... fins!"
Missing her home... I find this brief scene the most heart-wrenching in the movie.
Ariel: "We'll be right down. Gives us two minutes."
Eric: "Two minutes... Now where have I heard that before?"

LoL. I particularly like Eric's eye roll there.

Some people just never forget... And it's been 12 years! Jinkies.
They're so sweet!
The transformation.
Does this place look familiar to you?
Morgana moves around her prey just the way Ursula did around her prey.
I just find this shot incredibly cute. And for some reason, it reminds me of Bubbles, the Powerpuff Girl that Tara Charendoff also voices.
Even baby penguins have standards when it comes to being rescued.
Tip: "Another plan p-erfectly executed."
Dash: "See, now she's gonna leave, and it's all your fault."
Tip: "My fault? Maybe she doesn't like blubber!"
Dash: "Oh, yeah? Maybe she doesn't like birds that can't fly!"
Tip: "GASP! Well, you can't fly either!"
Dash: "And you walk funny!"
Tip: "Well....... You can't fly either!"
Ariel meets an old friend. (My my, we've gained weight, haven't we?)
Flounder, a dad of five? Who'dve thought. Too bad we don't get to see his wife.
Melody meets a remarkably good-looking bleached blonde mer-boy that looks like he ought to belong to a surfer clique.
Tip: "Hey, I'm sorry what I said about the blubber."
Dash: "Yeah, and I'm sorry about the fish breath."
Tip: "Fish breath? You never said anything about fish breath."

Tip and Dash are quite possibly my favourite original characters in a Disney sequel. It's the snappy dialogue that gets me.

Tip: "Sure, take your time. Sit back, relax. Let's just linger here and die!

Sebastian goes on and on and on and on... I don't know, I just felt that Sebastian's character was rather dry in this one, and that makes me sad. He just didn't have much to do besides just being there.

Melody: "All this time... Atlantica wasn't that far from home."

And that ain't the worst of it, honey.

Ariel: "Scuttle, I want you to pay attention very carefully."
Flounder: "We're doomed."
Ariel & Melody: "You're a mermaid?!"
Undertow: "Grrr..."
Flounder: "Grrr yourself."
Morgana gloats. (Ariel's face looks extremely weird here.)
Tip: "So what'll it be? A lifetime as worms... or two minutes as heroes?"
Undertow: "Where do you boys think you're going?"
Tip: "We were just looking for the little penguin's room."
Tip: "That is one brave hunk of blubber."

You said it, Tip.

Flounder tries to break out. Nice to know some things don't change.
Tip: "I thought you were going to hold him?!"
Dash: "I am holding him!"
Tip: "Another plan p-erfectly executed."
Apologies long overdue.
The extremely photogenic couple, looking mighty fine for parents in their late twenties / early thirties.
Kodak moment! All's right with the world once again.
A possible romance interest for Melody?
