Positoovity

The Broadway show's second new song for Scuttle opens Act 2, for when Ariel has arrived on land with her brand new set of legs. Although I was skeptical about Scuttle getting another song of significant length, the energy of it is great thanks to Eddie Korbich's singing, and on stage the dancing is a joy.

Scuttle:
What's this, you giving up so soon? You gotta have a little gumption, yeah. A "can do" kinda attitude. Take it from a gull who knows.

Now look at me, you see this face
In terms of beauty, I'm a basket-case
And as for style and savoir-faire
Well, I guess there ain't a whole lot there

Yet although perhaps it makes no sense
I strut my stuff with lots of confidence
'Cause though I lack an awful lot

Ariel, don't take advice from bird brains.

Scuttle:
Bird brains? Who you callin' bird brains? We got natural talent. What I like to call "gull-ability".

The demo version of this new Scuttle song isn't that different from what eventually ended up on stage, but it does by necessity exclude the dance break.

Scuttle:
